How long will it take for me to receive my books?
The complete publishing process takes about 3 months. This is from the time that we receive your completed manuscript with all required elements included, plus your publishing fees, and contract reviewed and submitted. This time is allotted for editing/proofreading of manuscript, completion of cover design, and layout.
Will I get to see the finished book before it goes to printing?
Yes, we will e-mail you a completed version of your manuscript with the fully designed wrap-around cover. You will have a chance at this point to make any suggestions or requests before we go to print. We do value greatly the opinions of the authors and your input, since this is the vision that God has given unto you, but once final decision is made to go to print, no additional changes can be made to book. *Additional charges will apply past this point.
If I have already published a book through another publisher, can I have it revised or marketed through Hunter Heart Publishing?
You would have to review your contract with previous publisher, if applicable, to see if there are any stipulations or contractual obligations that would prohibit you from doing so. Any book that is revised will need to have a new ISBN assigned to work. Marketing is offered with Hunter Heart Publishing for already published material, and can be included on our website, as well as others with permission from publisher.*Once permission is verbally given from author to proceed, Hunter Heart Publishing is not liable for any damages or fees resulting from any such proceedings. How do I receive royalties from Hunter Heart Publishing?
Royalties will be distributed as they are received for each book. Hunter Heart Publishing reserves the right to hold all royalties until they reach a minimum of 20.00. Royalty checks will be distributed quarterly, providing the amount is above 20.00. If no royalties are received for your book, an e-mail will be sent to you on a quarterly basis displaying such.*Hunter Heart Publishing does not receive any portion of royalties from sales of books, unless you apply for the marketing services package. How can I determine if the marketing offered through Hunter Heart Publishing will sell my books?
Most successful books will sell between 2500 and 5000 books annually. You have to gain an understanding not only of the world of publishing, but of who you are marketing to. Many authors become frustrated, because they are not selling as many books as they would like. You have to gain a realistic expectation, and know what kind of people you are trying to reach. Your work will not reach everyone, so you have to determine who you are marketing to, and focus your attention to getting it into their hands. Hunter Heart Publishing has an awesome staff who are trained in this specific area of marketing, known as Target Marketing. We will determine your market based upon the content of your book. From this, we determine where to better make use of marketing dollars.
Many publishers do not give you this information, and sell you many “stories” offering you the world to get you to publish with them, but Hunter Heart Publishing is a family-owned company that has experienced the ‘world of publishing’, and have seen first-hand the heights that publishing companies will go to get your money. We will do our best for you with what we have been given, and the resources that are available to us, to market and promote your book, but in the end, you are your best seller! With the information given to you, and the knowledge obtained through consistency of studying your market group, you will reach the people that God has given to you. Don’t wait for a publishing company to offer you ‘millions’. We can offer you tools and resources, but you ultimately hold the key to your own destiny!

Can I publish a book through Hunter Heart Publishing if I am not a Christian author?
Hunter Heart Publishing’s mission is to ‘Offer God’s Heart To A Dying World’, but if you have a message of moral obligation and/or responsibility, we will review your manuscript and make a determination based upon these guidelines. If we have determined that our company is not suited for such a book, we reserve the right to deny our publishing services (Please see Terms/Conditions). If your book does not display any derogatory messages or content, or any message that we cannot stand by, we can offer to refer you to another publisher.
*To better meet the needs of our authors, we have created an “Author’s Forum” where you are welcome to go and voice other questions, comments, or just to offer an encouraging word or an exciting testimony of how God has used you and your book to affect someone’s life. Please keep in mind that we are an outlet to Christian authors, giving them an opportunity to share and receive. This forum will not be used for social, political, or world views of any sort, and will be monitored.
